Originally composed for the tango-quartet Tango for 3. Does also exist in several symphonic, chamber and electronic versions
The title means my old pain. I composed this piece for my mother Irena Joner (born Kupcis) who came to Norway right after World War II. She had a dramatic upbringing with many traumatic experiences that left such a deep mark that she became psychotic. A very loving mother, but failed to remain in our reality and took refuge in her own inner world.
